The List of Electors & the Cumberland South by-election

At the start of the by-election in Cumberland South, there were 10,889 eligible electors on the list of electors. Anyone who is over eighteen, a Canadian citizen, and has lived in Nova Scotia six months by the date the by-election is called (since November 17, 2017), and resides in the Cumberland South electoral district, is an eligible voter in the Cumberland South by-election. If you have any questions about whether you are eligible to vote in the June 19th by-election, please contact the returning office at 1-833-831-8269. If you are eligible to vote, you can be added to the list of electors when you come to vote.

Voters on the list of electors will receive their personalized Voter Information Card with locations and times of their voting places. The VICs will be mailed out in a few days and should begin arriving in mailboxes late next week.

You may vote at the returning office Monday through Saturday from 9am to 6pm at the Royal Canadian Legion in Springhill, in the advance poll Saturday June 9th through Saturday June 16th 9am to 6pm, except Sunday, and until 8pm Thursday June 14th and Friday June 15th at St. George’s Anglican Hall in Parrsboro. You may vote at either community poll Thursday June 15th and Friday June 16th 9am to 6pm at the Brookdale Community Hall in Brookdale or the Wentworth Recreation Cantre in Wentworth Centre.

On election day, Tuesday June 19th, you must vote at your designated poll between 8am and 8pm. Check your VIC or call the returning office at 1-833-831-8269 for the location of your election day poll.
