Request for Proposals for a Nova Scotia Internet Voting Solution

Media Release: September 27, 2022

Elections Nova Scotia – Elections Nova Scotia (ENS) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) through the Nova Scotia Tender website for an internet voting solution (RFP# ENS2022-01-RFP).

Through the RFP, ENS invites qualified firms to submit proposals that include all related software services, IT infrastructure and hosting services, as well as training, support, and the full management of a highly secure internet voting solution.

The Government of Nova Scotia made amendments to the Elections Act in 2021 to introduce a fixed date cycle for provincial general elections and to permit the use of internet voting, especially by those who are members of the Canadian Armed Forces stationed outside the province during an election event.

The submission deadline for proposals is Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 4 pm.

Elections Nova Scotia is a non-partisan and independent agency responsible for conducting provincial elections.
